Form and function

Made for your tea table

The teapot rises in a rounded, upright body with a generous loop handle, short flared spout, and knobbed lid. Its substantial clay form holds heat well for fuller infusions, while the phoenix relief creates a richly textured focal point.

Magnolia Phoenix is a decorative naming rather than a firmly documented historical form, so its history is best understood through Yixing teapot tradition. Since the Ming period, zisha pots have served concentrated brewing, poured in small amounts at the tea table.

Yixing zisha is known for purple clay, here appearing brown-red beneath dark carved phoenix, cloud, and floral details. Rinse after use, remove all leaves, and let the pot air dry before storing.
