This travel tea set combines a lidded gaiwan, three cups, a tea caddy, and a fitted leather case. The cushioned zip case protects the delicate ceramic and keeps the essentials together for gongfu tea outside the home.

The gaiwan, meaning covered bowl, became a recognised Chinese tea vessel during the Ming period. It is used to steep and pour tea, while small cups allow several drinkers to taste successive infusions together.

Made in China, the cream ceramic is decorated with colourful poppies, leaves, and butterflies, finished with fine red rims. Empty the caddy after use, rinse the ceramic pieces, and dry them completely before storing them in the case.
